ECAS Series Polymer Capacitor Expansion

Murata now offers the ECAS series 470 µF, 2.5 V polymer capacitor in a D4 case size

Image of Murata's ECAS Series Polymer Capacitor Murata's ECAS series of polymer aluminum electrolytic capacitors realize low ESR, low impedance, and high capacitance by means of multilayered aluminum foil for anode and solid conductive polymer for cathode. With no bias characteristics and stable temperature characteristics, the ECAS series has excellent performance in ripple absorption, smoothing, and transient response suitable for numerous applications.

Now featuring an expansion up to 470 µF and 2.5 V rating in a D4 case size, it is suitable for the smoothing of input-output current of various power supply circuits. This contributes to a reduction of the number of capacitors required in the circuit with the benefit of reduction in the PC substrate area.
