DeepCover® Secure Authenticator Demonstration Kit

Nearly every piece of technology in use today has some kind of embedded firmware, and rogue firmware can leak data and cause device malfunctions. Analog Devices’ MAXAUTHDEMO#1, featuring the DS28C36 DeepCover® secure authenticator, can easily and securely authenticate designs. The evaluation kit contains hardware and operates from a USB 2.0. The software GUI to easily and securely demonstrates the functional capabilities and use cases of DS28C36 in various designs. The software will operate on Windows® 10, Windows 8, and Windows 7 operating systems.

Analog Devices' DS28C36 is a DeepCover Secure Authenticator that provides a core set of asymmetric-key and symmetric-key cryptographic security functions in a small, low-cost solution. Asymmetric public-key features are supported with the FIPS 186 P256-based elliptic-curve (ECC) algorithm and symmetric secret-key with FIPS 180/198 SHA-256 HMAC. In addition to the security services provided, the device integrates a FIPS/NIST true random number generator (RNG), 8 Kb of secured EEPROM, a decrement-only counter, two pins of configurable GPIO, and a unique 64-bit ROM identification number (ROM ID).
