Image of Lumberg Automation’s LioN-P Distributed Control Unit Distributed control units are IP67 I/O modules with integrated PLC functionality that can perform a range of functions from simple logical operations to solving more complex control problems directly on the module. Lumberg Automation’s LioN-P µDCU field programmable controller I/O module provides multiprotocol support and M12 power L-coding technology.

This means LioN-P µDCU can be used as a standard I/O module, a standalone DCU, or in a mixed DCU in combination with a higher-level PLC. Additionally, Profinet, EtherCAT, and EtherNet/IP are all supported. The addition of two M12 L-coded connectors can provide up to 16 amps of output power.
