Littelfuse's renowned thermally protected varistor technology (TMOV) has a built-in thermal disconnecting function and an electrical arc shield that prevents catastrophic failure and fire hazard if the varistor has been exposed to extreme circumstances related to varistor end of life (EOL) or abnormal overvoltage conditions. The LST series has been specifically designed to meet UL1449 Type 1 or Type 2 Surge Protective Device (SPD) safety standards. The clear EOL indication will help the technician/engineer replace the part that needs to be changed out so that their equipment can continue to be protected.
