FG Series Subminiature High-Performance Electret Microphone
Knowles presents the world's smallest electret condenser microphone
Knowles' FG series is the world's smallest electret condenser microphone. Its cylindrical shape and compact size provide easy assembly and are ideal for miniature and covert applications. These units have very high SNR for such a small package and operate on as little as 0.9 V. The available high-SPL model is ideally suited for vocal performer head-worn mics or other applications requiring undistorted output when used at close range. There are models with response extending to 100 KHz for use in ultrasonic applications. The FG can also be used in directional applications such as a matched omni-directional pair. Models are available with 25.4 mm Litz wires or 1 m shielded cable attached. Several frequency response options are available.
