Hybrid Aluminum Polymer Capacitors - A780 Series

KEMET is expanding their capacitor series which has self-healing characteristics

Image of KEMET A780 Series Hybrid Aluminum Polymer Capacitors KEMET, a YAGEO Company, has expanded the A780 series, the hybrid aluminum polymer capacitor winding is housed in a cylindrical aluminum can with a tall, quality rubber deck. The winding is impregnated with liquid electrolyte that allows the capacitor to have self-healing characteristics. The highly conductive polymer (PEDOT/PSS) allows the capacitor to have very low ESR. The polymer system creates an electrical pathway between the anodic oxide layer and the cathode through a mechanical separator paper. The series includes a high-vibration option giving it 30 g vibration capability. The taller base provides better support of the part, and extra dummy terminals permit stronger attachment to the PCB.
