VC0720B Series Coin Vibration Motors

At only 7 mm in diameter and 2.1 mm thick, Vybronics' VC0720B series is currently the smallest ERM brush-type coin vibration motor on the market. The VC0720B001F utilizes a flexible printed circuit (FPC) with contacts on both the top and bottom, allowing it to be directly soldered to the PCB regardless of orientation. Included double-stick adhesive PSA is used to secure the motor to the PCB. The VC0720B015F is the leaded version of this device. The VC0720B088L was designed to mate with PCB-mounted contact springs or pogo pins. This series is intended for use with lightweight devices requiring vibrating alerts or haptic feedback. The motor has an operating voltage range of 2.7 V_DC to 3.3 V_DC. At 3 V_DC the motor's speed is 10,000 (minimum) RPM with an average current consumption of 48 mA. It may be driven by either DC voltage or a PWM signal. A driver IC is not required but may be used to produce various haptic effects. Custom lead lengths, FPCs, PORON foam pads, connectors, and PSA are also available.

If a higher vibrational force is required, please consider using one of Vybronics' larger-sized coin vibration motors. These motors range from 8 mm to 12 mm in diameter and can generate vibrational forces of up to 2.00 G_RMS.
