IVS-282 Radar Sensor

InnoSent's IVS-282 radar sensor comes with a long detection range. It can detect moving objects at up to 400 m. This sensor provides precise and reliable data due to its high sensitivity and advanced MMIC technology.

The IVS-282 radar sensor is a K-band radar transceiver. It operates within the 24 GHz ISM band and provides data via an analog I/Q output. It is also equipped with an integrated low-noise amplifier. For lower power consumption, the product comes with a shutdown function, allowing the unit to operate with a duty-cycle mode to enable battery-powered applications.

InnoSent's IVS-282 is a radar-based speed and motion sensor for traffic applications. It captures information to derive the velocity and distance of vehicles driving on the road. One way the provided speed information is used is by displaying it at digital traffic signs. It can also be used for traffic monitoring (counting and classifying cars) or in speed-enforcement applications.

The IVS-282 radar sensor can be operated in CW, FSK, and FMCW mode and allows the detection of any movement, velocity, distance, or movement direction of obstacles within the field of view. A CW variant is also available; the IPS-280 limits the device to CW operation to derive velocity and movement-direction information from a target.
