Elevated USB Type-C® Receptacles

GCT surface-mount USB4800 USB Type-C receptacles have 16-pins to meet the USB 2.0 specification for power and data and are designed with a centerline elevated 3.5 mm above the PCB surface, while USB4805 has all the same features, but has a centerline of 5.90 mm.

The elevated configuration allows the product to have aesthetic appeal when fitted in a typical chassis arrangement alongside other I/O products such as USB Type-A and HDMI. The product elevation also allows the use of components with profiles less than 4.4 mm beneath the connector.

Staying with the elevated theme, GCT also offers in USB4205, an elevated USB Type-C in a flag configuration with a vertical centerline of 7.2 mm.

This set of parts provides for 48 V at 5 A and is rated up to 240 W for maximum USB Power Delivery requirements. All parts have SMT contact pins and four through-hole shell stakes for excellent PCB retention and stability. These connectors are tested to 20,000 mating cycles, making them an ideal choice for demanding applications.

To simplify your production process, all parts are pin-in-paste (PIP) compatible, making them suitable for IR reflow solder processing along with other fully SMT components.
