BT81x Series Advanced Embedded Video Engine (EVE)

Bridgetek/FTDI's BT81X series advanced EVE delivers excellent image and text quality with resolutions up to 800 pixels x 600 pixels and true 24-bit color depth creating high-quality human-machine interfaces (HMI) while providing audio, resistive, and capacitive touch functionality options. It is further complemented with EVE graphical design tool chains with built-in smart widgets, animations, and page transitions that ease GUI development enabling engineers to quickly design without much expertise.

Building on the previous generations, the 3rd generation EVE products BT815/816 adopts the adaptive scalable texture compression (ASTC) algorithm which minimizes memory usage for larger fonts and images. Also, a dedicated QSPI Flash host port enables dedicated off-chip memory to be used to extend asset storage and freeing up valuable system SPI bandwidth.
