JDI Color Displays

With the Azumo front light panel (FLP) and JDI color reflective LCDs, devices can ditch the power-hungry backlight and harness the ambient light wherever it is, whether indoors or out in the sun. And if there's no light, the ultra-thin light guide film can provide it about 90% more efficiently than a backlight.

The Azumo FLP uses a single LED to light the display. Azumo's light guide does not suffer from the typical losses from diffusion or occlusions like backlights. The entire unit is intrinsically safe, making it perfect for industrial and medical devices in harsh conditions.

At five times thinner than alternative light guides, the display stack can still be thinner than the competition. The light guide comes pre-bonded directly to the JDI display, ensuring a perfect fit. The proprietary light mixing region can flex away from the display, freeing the device from unnecessary bezels. And the simple I/F and connectivity allows the Azumo front light panel and JDI color display to work with nearly any device.
