Color Development Kits with JDI RLCD

Start harnessing ambient light instead of wasting power on a backlight with the Azumo front light panel. Users' devices can employ a display that uses over 80x less power than a traditional backlight. With just a single low-power LED, the integrated Azumo front light panel and JDI color display offers a power-efficient alternative to backlit displays. That means users’ devices can be sunlight readable and efficient outdoors. And for indoor and lower light conditions, the included Azumo front light panel offers a 0.05 mm slim, power-efficient light guide film.

The JDI Reflective LCD + Azumo front light development kits come preloaded with colorful images and graphics. Software for uploading and testing custom graphics and up to 2 MB of SPI Flash memory are included with every model. Each unit offers variable brightness; via an integrated front light driver for the front light and through software for the display. The development kit is ready to use without any special inputs; all that is needed is a standard USB. The unit is fully reprogrammable with access to microprocessor debugging interface, GPIOs, and breakout pins.

The development kits are available with reflective memory displays in sizes ranging from 1” to 4.4, though they are capable of driving virtually all memory LCDs in the 1.1” to 4.4” range.
