Epson's low-power XO features 50 fs of RMS phase jitter and 25 mA max current consumption
Epson’s H-series SPXOs provide ultra-low jitter and tight stability in a small package and are suitable for networking applications with very high data rates. To achieve ultra-low jitter – 50 fs rms jitter at 156.25 MHz – Epson’s H-series SPXOs use an HFF (high-frequency fundamental) crystal and a unique low-noise oscillator IC designed and fabricated by Epson. Their excellent jitter performance enables superior eye diagrams for high-speed networking. To ensure consistent performance for complex designs, Epson H-series SPXOs include an LDO (low drop-out) voltage regulator to protect the clock from power supply noise, enabling lower jitter in the presence of noise and ripple.
