PI2DPX1067 Linear ReDriver™ with AUX Listener

The Diodes Incorporated PI2DPX1067 is a 1.8 V linear ReDriver supporting USB Type-C® for 10 Gbps USB 3.2, and 13.5 Gbps DisplayPort™ 2.1 (UHBR13.5) standards. The device supports multiple operation modes through an I²C bus setting for USB 3.2 Gen 2 x1 or x2, USB 3.2 Gen 2 x1 and 2-lane DP 2.1 (UHBR10, UHBR13.5), and 4-lane DP 2.1 (UHBR10, UHBR13.5), with speeds up to 13.5 Gbps per channel.

In compliance with USB Type-C connectors with crossbar switches for SBU pins, the device integrates an AUX listener and swaps AUX channels under the flip and non-flip plug. The PI2DPX1067’s non-blocking linear ReDriver design ensures that the differential signals help optimize the overall channel link adjustment conducted by the system’s transmitter and receiver. These differential signals convey pre-shoot and de-emphasis equalization waveforms from the transmitter side to the receiver side.

The device’s CTLE equalizers are implemented at the inputs of the ReDriver to compensate for channel losses and to reduce intersymbol interface (ISI) jitter. The CTLE equalizer’s gains and flat gains are programmable to support eye opening via the I²C register.

The PI2DPX1067 is available in the very small 32-pin X2QFN (XUA32) with a 2.85 mm x 4.5 mm footprint. It operates across the -40°C to +85°C industrial temperature range.
