These adapters are all designed to meet the stringent average efficiency and no-load power requirements mandated by the US Department of Energy (DoE) Level VI standards and the European Union’s proposed CoC Tier 2 directive. These required and proposed laws have implications for any OEM that designs products with an external AC-DC power supply for the US and European markets.
