Clamp-on Magnetic Field Concentrator: CO-SF Series

CTS' CO-SF series magnetic field concentrator is designed for non-intrusive and isolated measurement of electric currents. The innovative clamp-on design allows the contactless current sensor to be safely installed without cutting or modifying the cable.

The CTS CO-SF series comprises a soft ferromagnetic shield featuring superior material characteristics such as high linearity and very low hysteresis. Applications include DC and AC current-sensing up to 30 KHz, motor control, battery monitoring, charge control, and many more. CO-SF series can be paired with any planar magnetic field sensor, such as Melexis IMC-Hall®, to create an open loop current measurement system able to measure currents up to 200 A.

The unique hollow bottom design of the CO-SF series enables the direct housing of a planar current sensor and its capacitors, which allows for a compact and space-saving solution. The CO-SF series has four through-hole pins, which can be directly soldered to the PCB, providing a robust and secure attachment.
