Image of Comair Rotron's Mixtus 6.8 Series Fans Comair Rotron's Mixtus 6.8 series (model prefix MFXE) 172 mm mixed flow fan takes Comair Rotron to the next step in the evolution of the brushless DC motor line, providing the highest obtained motor efficiency to date. Combining this efficiency with mixed flow technology produces a truly unique air mover.

Traditional tube axial fans are designed for high-airflow and low-pressure applications. The conical-shaped blade and housing of the Mixtus pressurizes airflow to allow significantly higher shut-off pressures than found in traditional tube axial products. This gives the Mixtus 6.8 the versatility to operate with either reduced power consumption, or increased airflow and pressure capability. Illustrating this efficiency, the standard Mixtus 6.8 series is able to move air at a rate of up to 400 CFM with a shutoff pressure of 2.35 (in H2O). While achieving this performance, the Mixtus 6.8 only needs 74.4 watts of power.
