KYOCERA AVX offers a broad range of capacitors and circuit protection technologies; all designed to meet or exceed AEC-Q200 standards for automotive applications. The automotive grade capacitor and circuit protection portfolio includes devices designed to perform optimally in RF/Microwave, high temperature and high transient voltage applications in unique packages and options like arrays, integrated stacks, OPEN Alliance qualified, temperature compensating and high-CV characteristics.
There is a wide selection of connectors that KYOCERA AVX offers, built to endure the harsh conditions of automotive environments, including extreme temperatures, shock, and vibration while preserving electrical and signal fidelity in sleek housings. These connectors range from complex under-the-hood mechatronic modules to standardized options like IDC, FPC/FFC, Secure Digital, and fine-pitch board-to-board systems for infotainment and ADAS applications among others.

Automotive Solid Electrolytic Capacitors
Automotive MLC capacitors cover a wide range of case sizes, capacitance values, and working voltages. These products are not suitable for automotive industry only, but for all improved reliability applications as well. Capacitors are continuously tested in QA (Quality Assurance) laboratories. Results of these tests enable to maintain superior quality. All KYOCERA AVX manufacturing facilities are QS9000 and VDA 6.4 approved.
Multi Layer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCCs) have been developed, manufactured and specially tested for applications in Automotive industry. All components comply with AEC-Q200 standard – Stress Test Qualification for Passive Components. Detailed qualification package is available on request.

Surface Mount (SMD) Capacitors, MLCC
Kyocera AVX has an extensive portfolio of MLCCs. Our wide variety rage of capacitors meet the high quality and standards of the automotive industry. KAVX’s automotive AEC-Q200 MLCC lineup includes features such as high capacitance, high voltage, and Flexiterm, which meets a wide variety of automotive application needs. Typical applications include ADAS ECU, DCU, Cluster/HUD, Hybrid automotive battery control, Inverter, Motor control applications.
Radial Leaded Capacitors, MLCC
Suitable for automotive applications with voltage requirements up to 3000V, temperature ranges up to 150°C with X8R dielectric and variety of common lead spacing options. Kyocera AVX leaded capacitors exhibit excellent thermal shock, vibration resistance, pure matte tin leadwire finish, ROHS compliant and are suitable for wave soldering and welding applications. High speed pick and place compatible and AEC-Q200 qualification for automotive applications.

Capacitor Array, MLCC
KYOCERA AVX 0612 and 0508 4-element capacitor array styles are qualified to the AEC-Q200 automotive specifications. AEC-Q200 is the Automotive Industry qualification standard, and a detailed qualification package is available on request. All KYOCERA AVX automotive capacitor array production facilities are certified to ISO/TS 16949:2002.

Solid Electrolytic Capacitors
KYOCERA AVX produces a wide range of multilayer ceramic capacitors technologies that meet or exceed the requirements of AEC-Q200. Surface mount MLCCs offered include Flexiterm, Flexisafe, high voltage, ESD-Safe™ for circuit protection, RF/Microwave, high temperature , arrays, temperature compensating and high-CV. KYOCERA AVX also offers radial and axial leaded multilayer ceramic capacitors with standard and high temperature profiles.
Automotive Ceramic Capacitors
KYOCERA AVX produces AEC-Q200 qualified multilayer varistors, ESD resistant MLCCs, NTC thermistors and stacked multilayer varistor/MLCC devices to meet the stringent circuit protection requirements of modern automotive electronics. KYOCERA AVX qualifies components to AEC-Q200, IEC and customer-specific transient voltage suppression requirements.

Surface Mount (SMD) Varistors
KYOCERA AVX automotive series varistors are an ideal choice for circuit protection in automotive applications thanks to a wide range of highly reliable, AEC-Q200 qualified components; including low capacitance varistors for high-speed data lines/RF circuits, as well as high energy, high temperature or harsh environment varistors.

Thermistors
NTC Thermistors are available in SMT, leaded or leadless form; provide multiple stability options, wide resistance range with option to offer customized solutions to meet customers requirements. Thermistors are widely used for temperature sensing or temperature compensation in general purpose, industrial, automotive or custom high reliability applications.
High Reliability for automotive
High-reliable signal and power connectors for today’s challenging automotive and transportation design needs, and all improved reliability applications as well.
