KYOCERA AVX 26-28 AWG IDC contact for industrial WTB applications
KYOCERA AVX developed the 26 AWG to 28 AWG IDC contact to connect discrete wired components to a PCB. The Industrial, Metering, and Medical type electronics continue to look for new wire-to-board termination solutions to reduce size or eliminate hand soldering of wires. KYOCERA AVX has taken the existing simple and reliable IDC individual contact and cap solution and reduced the IDC slot down to accept 26 AWG to 28 AWG wires. This expands the complete range of these single contacts from 18 AWG all the way down to 28 AWG providing customers new packaging options.
