Low Power, Low Size Devices for High Performance and High Reliability for Autonomous SolutionsHealthcare is an important topic for all of us. With the advances in technology, healthcare devices are getting smaller and smaller; even to the point that many people have wearable healthcare devices to sustain and improve their quality of life. Considerations in designing wearable healthcare devices include small size and weight, extremely-low power consumption and the absolute highest quality and reliability. Lastly these devices must allow the user comfort and a range autonomy that exceeds traditional tethered healthcare devices. ADI has created a "Smart Wearable Healthcare Device Solution" for the designer. This solution has matched and recommended microprocessors (MCU), wireless, Analog to Digital converters (ADCs) and variety of sensors from Electrocardiogram (ECG) and Optical Analog Front End (AFE), Motion, Capacitance and audio products. Analog Devices' MCUs come with ARM® Cortex®-M3 cores as well as internal dual 24-bit ADCs with the ADuCM360 and a single 16-bit ADC for the ADuCM350. The AD8232 is a single lead ECG AFE heart rate monitor with ultralow power consumption whereas the ADAS1000 is a five electron ECG AFE. The ADXL345 and ADXL362 are 3-Axis digital and digital MEMS accelerometers. The AD7147 has CapTouch™ technology designed for use with capacitance sensors. AD7091, AD7124 and AD7915 are 1 MSPS - 12-bit, 24-bit – 4 channel -Sigma Delta (Σ-Δ) and 1MSPS 16-bit ADCs. The ADF7020, ADF7024 and ADF7241 are all low power transceivers. With the ADF7020 being designed for the ISM band of 433–464 MHz and 862-928 MHz frequencies. The ADF7024 also designed for the ISM band has the additional modulation of two-level frequency (FSK and Gaussian Frequency (GFSK)) shift keying. The ADF7241 is a 2.GHz global ISM band and adheres to IEEE 802.15.4 requirements. The SSM2518 is a 2 W class D -Audio Amplifier (AMP). System Block Diagram![]() Products
