LTM8080 PSRR μModule® Regulator

ADI's LTM8080 is a 40 V_IN step-down silent switcher, dual 500 mA or single 1 A ultra-low noise, ultra-high PSRR μModule regulator with cascaded architecture containing an integrated EMI noise shield followed by dual high-performance low dropout linear regulators. The dual LDO regulators feature ADI’s ultra-low noise and ultra-high PSRR architecture for powering noise-sensitive applications. The LTM8080 is an integrated solution comprising switch and LDO regulators, which offer advantages while maintaining a small size and significantly reduced PCB layout sensitivity.

Demonstration circuit 3071A features the LTM8080 μModule regulator, a complete, low input noise, ultra-high PSRR solution with an intermediate power bus and dual output 0.5 A LDO regulators, in a thermally enhanced, compact 9 mm × 6.25 mm × 3.32 mm BGA package. DC3071A has a wide operating input range of 4 V to 40 V. Each of the two outputs is an adjustable 3.3 V/0.5 A. The operating output range is a wide 0 V to 8 V. DC3071A also allows for the LDOs to be paralleled up to 1 A rail load current.
