Image of Analog Devices' LTM4652 μModule® RegulatorADI's LTM4652 is a source/sink dual ±25 A or single ±50 A output switching mode step-down DC-to-DC μModule regulator with ±1.5% total DC output error. Operating from an input voltage range of 4.5 V to 18 V, the LTM4652 supports two outputs with an output voltage range of 0.6 V to 7.5 V, each set by a single external resistor. Its high-efficiency design delivers up to ±25 A continuous current for each output.

The demonstration circuit (DC3230A) features the LTM4652 μModule regulator configured as a single 32 A, -5 V output. The input voltage range is from 4.5 V to 13 V. For this inverting output demo board, the maximum VIN + |VOUT| should not exceed 18 V. This demo board can be configured to source or sink output load current. This demo board is optimized using a default frequency of 780 kHz under the 9 VIN and -5 VOUT condition. The current mode architecture used in LTM4652 is peak current mode control.
