Image of Amphenol Communications Solutions' DSFP 56 G PAM4 SMT ConnectorAmphenol Communications Solutions' 56 G PAM4 DSFP SMT interconnect system offers dual high-speed lanes operating at 28 Gb/s NRZ and 56 Gb/s PAM4 for a 50 G and 100 G aggregated bandwidth solution. It has an additional two pins compared to the SFP and SFP+ family, which enables it to have a second high-speed channel with an identical connector form factor. The DSFP shares the same unique mating interface and EMI cage dimensions as the whole range of SFP and SFP+ cages. The connector is backward compatible with SFP and SFP+ modules and transceivers based on a 20-contacts edge card. A wide variety of cage configurations with two-piece construction and enhanced transceiver mating tabs are offered in a press-fit or solder tail version.
