The Telaire T6793 from Amphenol Advanced Sensors is a miniature non-dispersive, gold-plated optics, diffusion sampling-style, single-channel OEM CO2 sensor module that has the accuracy and reliability of many larger sensors on the market while meeting the accuracy standards of CA Title 24. Telaire’s T6793 has an accuracy rating of ±45 ppm plus 3% of reading in the measured range of 400 ppm to 2,000 ppm. It is ideal for applications where CO2 levels need to be measured and controlled for indoor air quality or energy-saving applications. Its compact size of 1.18 in x 0.61 in x 0.34 in (30 mm x 15.6 mm x 8.6 mm) makes it easy to integrate into a product design. The sample signal of Telaire’s T6793 updates every five seconds to monitor current conditions. It is designed to interact with other microprocessor designs by providing various outputs including I²C or UART; PWM is also available as an optional output. The T6793 can operate with a power supply between 4.5 VDC to 5.5 VDC and it is designed for operating conditions of +14°F to +140°F (-10°C to +60°C) with 0% to 95% RH (non-condensing). The storage condition is -22°F to +158°F (-30°C to +70°C). This sensor module is designed for 6-pin male headers with 0.1 in (2.54 mm) spacing (the header is not included).
The T6793 is outfitted with Telaire’s ABC Logic algorithm (self-calibration logic). This onboard logic corrects for drift and/or slight calibration adjustments over the life of the sensor when used in applications where the CO2 concentrations will drop to outside ambient conditions (400 ppm) in a seven-day period. ABC Logic is enabled from the factory and is functioning after 24 hours of powered operation.
