Upgraded Performance

The Agilex 5 brings high performance and power efficiency to mid-range applications using Altera HyperFlex Gen 2 core fabric technology, resulting in speeds 2x faster than competitors’ 7 nm devices and 1.6x better performance per watt than competitors’ 16 nm devices.

Embedded Arm®-based Processor Subsystem

The FPGA industry's first asymmetric Arm application processor cluster with dual A76 and dual A55 has a system memory management unit, L1/L2/L3 caching, and a comprehensive set of hardened peripherals. Customers benefit from the highest-efficiency embedded mid-range processor subsystem, augmenting FPGA functionality and/or pairing with external host-class CPUs.

Built for AI and ML

The devices provide new levels of AI and DSP capabilities, with the industry’s first FPGA logic fabric infused with AI tensor blocks. Utilize existing methodologies such as PyTorch and TensorFlow, open-source tools, and Altera’s FPGA AI Suite to simplify creating AI models for easy incorporation into the rest of the FPGA design. Users can employ high-bandwidth internal and external memory to keep AI engines running at maximum throughput.
