AOZ128x Simple-to-Use High-Efficiency EZBuck™ Regulators

Alpha & Omega Semiconductor’s AOZ128X series are highly efficient, high-voltage (3 V to 36 V_IN) simple step-down regulators that deliver from 0.6 A to 4 A continuous output current, depending on the device. High switching frequencies optimized for thermal performance provide small solution sizes. The AOZ1280, AOZ1281, and AOZ1282 have fixed frequencies and provide excellent thermal performance in small packages. The AOZ1283PI and AOZ1284PI offer low on-resistance of 38 mΩ to reduce power loss and provide higher output current.

The AOZ128X series has built-in protection features such as cycle-by-cycle current limit, overvoltage protection, and thermal shutdown. All products in this series have the enable input rated at input voltage. This allows the system to connect enable directly to the input voltage to support many applications such as smart thermostats and industrial equipment that does not have a separate enable signal available.
