Image of Allegro's A1334 Sensor Allegro's A1334 is a 360° contactless, high resolution magnetic angle position sensor based on circular vertical hall (CVH) technology. It is a system-on-a-chip that includes a CVH front end, programmable digital signal processing, and a SPI interface. The A1334 is ideal for automotive and industrial applications requiring end-of-shaft, high speed, 0° to 360° angle measurements. With a fast angle refresh rate of 25 µsecs it produces accurate angle measurements even on target magnets rotating at very high RPM rates. It’s also ideal for slower speed applications where it can provide accurate angle measurements with 12-bits of resolution.

  • 0° to 360° angle position sensor supporting magnet rotational speeds in excess of 7600 RPM, with SPI output
  • Operates from 40°C to 150°C
  • Provides a programmable refresh rate from 25 to 3200 µs (via EEPROM) making it ideal for high bandwidth (RPM rate) applications
  • 12-bit resolution for RPM rates <500 and 10-bit resolution for RPM rates> 500
  • Max angle error ±0.6° with ideal magnet alignment at 25°C
  • Max angle error ±1.75° with ideal magnet alignment at +150°C
  • Typical temperature drift angle error of +/-1.5° from -40°C to +25°C and from +25°C to +150°C
  • EEPROM programmable angle reference (0°) position and rotation direction (CW or CCW)
  • Due to the A1334’s ability to support a larger target magnetic field range (300G to 1,000G), it is more immune to parasitic magnetic fields
  • The A1334 supports digital SPI interface that operates up to 10 MHz
