The Advantech ECU-1170 is a rugged, high-performance communication gateway purpose-built for battery energy storage systems (BESS). Featuring an Arm® quad-core Cortex®-A55 processor and versatile I/O interfaces, it enables seamless communication between BESS subsystems like battery management systems (BMS) and power conversion systems (PCS). With EdgeLink IoT software and support for industrial protocols such as IEC 61850, IEC 104, and DNP3, the ECU-1170 can function as a protocol converter, local EMS controller, or battery analysis unit (BAU).
