Reducing Voltage Drop with Heavy-Duty Extension Cables
When using equipment with lengthy extension cords, typically 50 ft or longer, voltage drop becomes a concern as electricity traverses a greater distance. While this issue is often negligible for lower-wattage or lighter-duty appliances, it becomes more pronounced with heavier-duty equipment.
To mitigate voltage drop, AC Connectors has engineered heavy-duty cables with 12-gauge wire, typically used for 20 amps, and super-duty cables with 10-gauge wire, typically used for 30 amps. Despite their robust construction, these cables are designed for regular household usage, limiting the current to a maximum of 15 amps.

It's important to note that the more wattage a piece of equipment draws, the greater the voltage drop over longer distances.
