Proper Soldering Techniques

When I was a young college student learning to solder, my connections and overall soldering job needed some fine-tuning. Over the past few years I learned a few tips and tricks that helped me to improve my skill. After using the new American Hakko FX-888D soldering station with a variable temperature selection on a recent project, I decided to demonstrate some of those tips and tricks with a couple fellow engineers here at DigiKey with our new video.

To go along with this blog, I wrote an article on the basics of soldering and some information on solder and flux to help all beginners to hone their skills and take their soldering to the next level.
