Microchip’s AVR IoT WG Dev Board and Helix Semiconductor’s MxC 200 Series DC/DC Converters

In this New Product Discoveries, we show you a few products that will get your projects rolling forward. First, we have the AVR-IoT WG where Microchip Technology and Google teamed up to provide a board that can securely connect to Google Cloud. The AVR-IoT WG is compatible with Atmel Studio 7.0 IDE, Atmel Start MPLAB X IDE, and even DigiKey’s DK IoT Studio for easy coding. The AVR-IoT WG is also Click Board™ friendly, so you can plug and play the many sensors MikroElectronica provides such as the MIKROE-3012 heart rate sensor. DigiKey also provides the IOT-HOME-KIT which includes the board, connector headers, stepper motor click board, and the stepper motor to easily get you started on a project, without having to hunt around for compatible parts.

Next, we have a product family from Helix Semiconductors: the MxC 200 series. This series provides DC/DC conversion with their patented MuxCapacitor™ and CapIso™ which creates a voltage conversion with transformerless isolation technology.

Helix Semiconductor provides the chips to design into your boards, or you can use their evaluation board, which are ready to plug into and convert the voltage. The MXC 274C1-EB-10 is an evaluation board with the patented technology that allows you to use Power over Ethernet (PoE) and convert down to a 5 V USB output. These products can be implemented into your projects to take your ideas and turn them into a reality, helping you keep up with the fast pace of the electronics industry.
