Maswell Launches Extreme Weatherproof Ultra-Wideband 5G MIMO Panel Antenna

Maswell has recently launched the 600-8000 MHz ultra-broadband high gain 5G MIMO panel antenna series: AN_Master_001-2 MIMO and AN_Master_001-4 MIMO + GNSS triple cable version (Figure 1).

Both of the 5G panel antenna models cover a frequency range of 600~8000 MHz for cellular 5G applications. The AN_Master_001-2 is a 5G/4G/WiFi MIMO combined dual mode antenna. Both of the leads from this model support an independent Cellular/WiFi channel signal reception with an extremely wide bandwidth. Specifically, the supported frequency bands include all global 5G, 4G, 3G, GSM, LORA, Helium, and WiFi bands, such as WiFi Harlow, WiFi 2.4 GHz, WiFi 5 GHz, WiFi 6, and WiFi 6E. The detailed S11 and VSWR performance of the antenna model is given in Figure 2 and Figure 3.

The AN_Master_001-4 antenna is equipped with three cables that can simultaneously achieve a dual 5G/4G/WiFi channel and a GNSS positioning signal coverage channel. This GNSS channel supports all global GPS/GLONASS/Gaileo/Beidou L1 band signal coverage and has incomparable advantages in high reliability and high redundant positioning.

Typical radiation patterns of the AN_Master_001 panel antenna series at low band (600-1800 Mz), middle band (2100-4800 MHz), and high band (5000-8000 MHz) are shown in Figures 4 through 6. In such a wide frequency band, it is obvious that the antenna has a typical omnidirectional characteristic, covering a very wide area, and has almost no dead angle. Also, the gain of this antenna series of products is up to 7.5d Bi, which facilitates an outstanding signal reception capacity in the outdoor environment, especially in poor signal areas for Cellular MIMO functionality.

Weatherproof and Dual installation for outdoor environments

The radomes of the AN_Master_001-2 and AN_Master_001-4 are made of high standard ASA material with UV-stabilized capabilities. The material remains robust in harsh outdoor environments, such as storms, snow, dust, and strong solar radiation. The ASA material has the characteristics of low dielectric and low loss. Also, the ASA material strength is significantly better when compared with the common ABS antenna radome. These features make the AN_Master_001-2 and AN_Master_001-4 outstanding for all weather conditions.

In terms of installations, the AN_Master_001 MIMO antenna series supports both outdoor direct screw installations and U-Bolt Pols mounting. These two installation methods represent all the outdoor mounting possibilities for various applications. Extreme IP67 Waterproof test

The waterproof capabilities of this antenna series are remarkable. The antenna can operate unaffected for 30 minutes under 1-meter-deep water, unlike other waterproof grade models, which exclude the cable holes. The AN_Master_001 MIMO panel antenna IP 67 grade applies to the whole antenna body including the cable holes. This means the MIMO panel antenna can sustain any outdoor waterproof requirements. A demonstration video of the waterproof capacity is shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpFuZbrjBe0

Additionally, the 5G MIMO panel antenna has officially passed the IP67 waterproof rating for EU standard EN 60529:1991+A1:2000+A2:2013+AC:2019 and China National Standard GB/T4208-2017.

Based on the description above, the AN_Master_001-2 and its derivative AN_Master_001-4 can support all the MIMO Cellular 5G/4G/LTE, LORA, and Helium signals as well as all the WiFi bands from WiFi Harlow to WiFi 6E, due to its Ultra-Wideband 600 MHz-8000 MHz bandwidth. The GNSS derivative version may operate under all the GNSS L1 bands for GPS, GLONASS, GAILEO, and Beidou. The dual installation methods enable the panel series to be mounted in all outdoor scenarios. The outstanding waterproof and weatherproof grade of the AN_Master_001 MIMO antenna series ensures its 24/7 operation capabilities under all weather conditions.
