Global Day of the Engineer 2019

April 3rd, 2019 is Discover E’s Global Day of the Engineer. Why is this important? Whether you realize it or not, engineers make a HUGE impact on your everyday life. From the building you work in (Architectural Engineering), the vehicle you drive (Mechanical Engineering), electronics you use (Electrical Engineering), to the computer software you run (Computer Science Engineering), and everything in between, you have an engineer somewhere to thank. There are too many types of engineering careers to name. With everything they provide for us on a daily basis, they deserve to be celebrated.

To join in on the festivities, DigiKey will be posting profiles for some of our very own global engineers, along with giving away $100 USD (or equivalent) in DigiKey product to 40 random winners around the world. To enter, comment on DigiKey’s Global Day of the Engineer post on the social media platform of your choice, and answer these two questions:

1. Why did you become an engineer?
2. What country do you live in?

DigiKey is grateful for all engineers and the progress they have helped contribute to. If you are an engineer – thank you! If you know one – be sure to thank them and, of course, tell them about our giveaway!
