DigiKey’s TechForum is Growing into an Invaluable Resource

Every day, the technicians and engineers in DigiKey’s Applications Engineering department answer hundreds of questions from customers. These answers are given to the customer and stored in a database. In 2017 the question was posed, “Why don’t we share these answers with all our customers?” We thought it was an excellent question, and the TechForum was born.

The DigiKey TechForum is an electronic components-focused community that is centered around answering questions about component specifications and how to use them. Visitors can spend time browsing answers to frequently asked questions, learning how to breakdown our manufacturer part numbers, and identifying unknown parts to accomplish repairs. We also have a series of how-to posts and tech tips to help with projects at every level; no matter if you are a maker/hobbyist trying to blink an LED or an engineer using the newest development board.

DigiKey’s team of over 100 techs and engineers monitor the TechForum 24/7/365, so users can be sure their questions will be answered quickly and knowledgeably. With thousands of posts and hundreds of members, the TechForum is becoming a tool every electronics enthusiast needs in their toolbox.

The next time you have an electronics question, stop by the TechForum and see how the community can become a resource you will use over and over again.
