The Freescale Freedom development platform is a set of software and hardware tools for evaluation and development. It is ideal for rapid prototyping of microcontroller-based applications. The FRDMK22F development platform is a simple, yet sophisticated design featuring a Kinetis K series MCU built on the ARM® Cortex®-M4 core with a floating point unit and USB connectivity with crystal-less operation. This board features the MK22FN512VLH12 MCU, FXOS8700CQ – accelerometer and magnetometer, RGB LED and two user push buttons, ready for your embedded projects.

The development platform can be interfaced with the ƒ OpenSDAv2.1. The board includes quick demonstrations that the board can be used for. Some applications included on the quick demos are Bubble level, eCompass demo, USB CDC demo, Metal Detector demo, . Stopwatch demo, and Air mouse demo.
